Wimb, Marc & Jonny return to look at how things all unravelled so quickly for Reading against Fulham on Saturday and why the team wasn’t out of sight before Joey van den Berg’s cock-up. From the role of George Evans, to the full debut of Modou Barrow, we take an in depth look at our first Championship home game of the campaign.

There’s also a new signing to discuss in newsbites, plus the mailbag has questions from how long Stam might have before he’s under pressure, to whether we should be concerned at all the long-term contracts being dished out.

All that plus plenty more and a look ahead to the Aston Villa game tomorrow in this week’s Tilehurst End Podcast

Wimb, Marc and Ben Greenwood unite to look back on a bumpy first week for Reading that saw disappointment at QPR softened slightly by an encouraging Carabao Cup win over Gillingham.

We’ll give our early impressions on Reading’s four new signings, plus who caught our eye from a very youthful side in this week’s cuptie.

In the mailbag we tackle Reading’s midfield, transfer rumours, the pre-season schedule and more, while we also turn our focus to Saturday’s home clash with Fulham.

Five years ago Jobi McAnuff led Reading into the Premier League as Champions and now he talks to TTE Podcast on his ups and downs from five years at the Madejski Stadium.

Speaking to our assistant Olly Allen, Jobi talks us through his thoughts on Brendan Rodgers, what went so right for us to go up in 2012, plus what went wrong in the years after. All that plus thoughts on his time since he’s left the club and what might be next for our former skipper.

We'll be back on Monday with a full season preview, so feel free to get your questions in via email, or on Twitter using #TTEPodcast. In the mean time thanks for listening and a big thanks to those who continue to support the show at Patreon.com/thetilehurstend.

In 2013 both TTE and Charles Watts were trying something new. Here at the site, we’d just launched a brand new podcast, while Charles was stepping into the shoes of Jonny Fordham at Get Reading/Reading Post. Four years later and all good things have to come to an end. After appearing on close to 100 shows, Charles moved to cover Arsenal in January but we couldn’t let him go without one final appearance to bring us his memories of covering the club, plus what he thinks may lay ahead.

So thanks to Charles for all the support and good times. While he’s moved on The Podcast Extra will return with a new co-host, so stay tuned for details of that in the next few weeks.

While the main show continues to enjoy its summer holiday, Wimb returns to bring you a special interview with the man behind the microphone on matchdays, Reading's PA announcer Daren Bavister aka 'DJ MegaParty'. Recorded back in January, Daren talks us through how he got into announcing, how he ended up at Reading plus how he responded to some strong criticism after his first few weeks on the job.

Following that interview, there's a quick roundup of some of the key stories around the club over the past few weeks, including Wimb's thoughts on new deals for Jaap Stam and Chris Gunter, Danny Williams departure plus a possible exit for Ali Al-Habsi.

We'll be back in a few weeks time with a full season preview but in the mean time thanks for listening and a big thanks to those who continue to support the show at Patreon.com/thetilehurstend.

So there's no promotion party to celebrate on our final show of the year but The Tilehurst End Podcast is back for one last time before our summer break, to look back on the highs and lows of 2016/17.

Wimb, Marc & Westy give their reflections on the Wembley experience, look at how we got there and what we need to do to go one better next season.

We've also got a round up of all the key post-season news so far, including takeover thoughts, plus we look at what might be next for Jaap Stam, Danny Williams and others.

All of that plus your questions answered in the mailbag for our final show of the campaign.
