Friday Dec 27, 2019
Friday Dec 27, 2019
The 2010s are nearly over, so The Tilehurst End Podcast is running a mini-series looking back at all the highs, lows and talking points from the last decade.
In part one, Olly Allen is joined by Jonny Williams to review the first three years of the decade, or what we’re calling ‘The McDermott Years’. Starting when the Slough-born manager was appointed, the pair discuss that season’s FA Cup run, getting to the play-off final in 2011, winning promotion 12 months later and struggling in the top-fight the following season. Of course plenty more is covered in between, including the importance of key players and memorable moments such as away games in Cardiff, East London and Southampton.
Keep an eye out in your podcast feeds tomorrow when part two will be released.

Thursday Dec 05, 2019
Simon Cox was a promising upstart during the 2005/06 record-breaking Reading FC campaign and a first-teamer reduced to the bench as the club reached the FA Cup semi-finals in his second spell in Berkshire.
In amongst those massive achievements for the team, the striker has experienced the wonderful tutelage of Eamonn Dolan and the sharp treatment of Steve Clarke. He has seen the club under Sir John Madejski and the Thais, been sent out on loan multiple times and sold twice.
The Tilehurst End Podcast caught up with Simon to discuss his considerable time with Reading and hear his side of a fascinating association between a footballer and his hometown team.
