Yet another dour defeat was followed up by the first home league win in 182 days this week as Reading FC showed that inconsistency at least means you occasionally win.
With a week off before the trip to Brentford, the mood has certainly been lifted around the Mad Stad thanks to the 3-0 beating of Hull, but will it last?
